Shenzhen, China, November 20, 2018 - Azoya, a Shenzhen-based cross-border e-commerce group, has launched the official Chinese website for Swanson, one of America's largest online retailers of vitamins and health products. Azoya will maintain and operate Swanson's e-commerce business in China. Swanson Health sells over 26,000 products on its platform, and its own private-label brands account for over 60% of its revenues.
Swanson sees the China market as a major growth market going forward. China's demand for authentic, safe health supplements and vitamins has increased dramaticaly in recent years. According to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, it is estimated that China’s vitamins, minerals, and supplements market will reach RMB 400 billion in sales by 2021, up 54% from 20161.

Azoya will work closely with Swanson to expand its business in China. It will be responsible for a comprehensive set of services, including IT, marketing, logistics, payments, customer service, and more.
"We see a great deal of potential in Swanson's China business. The brand is well respected by Chinese consumers and many of Swanson's private label products are expected to do quite well in the market," noted Azoya co-founder Don Zhao.
The official launch of the Swanson website comes just before this year's Black Friday promotions. In China, Black Friday is considered a major shopping holiday for those purchasing cross-border e-commerce products from the US. In China, many foreign players in the health & nutrition industry choose to enter the market through cross-border e-commerce because of lengthy approval times required to register health products with the China Food & Drug Administration (CFDA).
Azoya has several years of experence in helping international retailers and brands set up and operate e-commerce stores in China. As a borderless e-tailing group that has helped over 30 different retailers and brands enter and operate in the China market, Azoya's seasoned e-commerce teams can provide a wide range of different solutions that include IT, marketing, logistics, payments, customer service, and more.
Swanson is one of America's largest online retailers of health products and supplements, having been established in North Dakota in 1969. It originally began as a mail-order vitamins supplier and expanded to e-commerce in the 1990s. It now offers over 26,000 products on its platform, and its own proprietary private-label brands account for over 60% of its revenues.
