Fargo-based Swanson is one of America's largest online retailers of health supplements and vitamins. It originally started out as a mail order vitamin supplier in 1969, later expanding to e-commerce in the 1990s. It expanded to a 120,000 square foot facility in the early 2000s, and built out functions such as customer service, logistics, marketing, and manufacturing. 

Today Swanson offers over 26,000 products, and its own private label brands account for over 60% of its revenues. Swanson now employs over 650 employees.

Azoya will act as Swanson's official partner in China, Japan, and South Korea. The two plan to work together to set up a standalone e-commerce presence in each of the three countries, as well as expand to different marketplace platforms as well. Demand for international health products is strong in China, as consumers increasingly seek to purchase higher-quality goods from overseas, where products are perceived to be safer and of higher quality.
